The CQ region represents the local government areas of Banana, Central Highlands, Gladstone, Livingstone, Rockhampton and Woorabinda.

The region has many communities, assets and responsibilities which include:

30 x water treatment plants (including 6 x disinfection only plants)

80,576 x sewer connections

The CQWSTG mission is to advance drinking water and sewerage services across the region by creating efficiencies through joint procurement, promoting opportunities to stimulate collaboration and supporting council work teams.
